Joes and cowboy dolls as well as the Captain Action. I had a Johnny West and a Chief Cherokee and a Ben Cartwright. I had my mother sew little Star Trek outfits for some of them and I turned the Chief Cherokee into Spock by painting his eyebrows up and melting his ears.

Man was I hard up for something to do!-Kellerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06440487461352327886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5488751866222269657.post-937203083243974422008-10-31T17:34:00.000-07:002008-10-31T17:34:00.000-07:00I was a bit two young for a Captain Action doll --...I was a bit two young for a Captain Action doll -- I was one year old when this comic came out -- but a few years later, I acquired his Captain America costume, including the shield, at a garage sale, and used it with my GI Joe. I didn't know what the costume had been made for (I wasn't even aware of the existence of Captain Action at the time), there was just this box of various hero costume parts at this sale, and I picked out the Captain America costume as the coolest -- except that I grabbed the wrong boots, and didn't realize it until it was much too late. So I had my GI Joe decked out in a Captain America costume with Superman boots.Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15002963714116868716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5488751866222269657.post-69883374521875547022008-10-30T16:33:00.000-07:002008-10-30T16:33:00.000-07:00I distinctly remember bringing my Captain Action d...I distinctly remember bringing my Captain Action doll in to Show and Tell during 3rd Grade. Every guy in class wanted to play with it. And, I remember the teacher saying, "See, sometimes it's okay for boys to play with dolls."Steve Pickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09431800707327664520noreply@blogger.com
